Aotearoa/New Zealand Film Heritage Trust – Te Puna Ataata

The Aotearoa/New Zealand Film Heritage Trust serves as a guardian or kaitiaki for New Zealand heritage films.

The Trust works to preserve the legacy of New Zealand feature films by accepting assignment of ownership or management rights to enable the films to be brought into digital formats for the purpose of ensuring accessibility, ongoing public and market awareness as well as educational opportunities for future generations. To date a total of 45 early New Zealand features have been assigned, by their producers/rights holders, into our care as well as the extensive Pacific Films Collection.
